At SEA, we take a holistic approach when matching students with potential secondary schools. We don’t just zero in on their academic records and test scores (although those things are certainly important); we also take into account their athletics, talents, interests, personality, temperament, maturity, and challenges.
Private & Boarding School Services

As part of this package, we establish a personal relationship with the student and their family, and offer continuous and comprehensive support throughout the entire admissions process. Here’s how the process works: We first meet with the student and their family to get to know them and discuss the student’s educational goals, as well as their social and emotional needs. We review the student’s credentials, taking into account report cards, teacher comments, test scores, and accommodations. We then work with the family to create a list of potential schools, and thoroughly review each school with the family. Once the initial list is complete, we begin our collaborative work on the applications.
Our assistance includes, but is not limited to, conceptualizing and editing essays, compiling information needed for applications, proctoring ISEE and SSAT exams, prepping for interviews, and scheduling tours. After each school visit, we will meet with the family to get their feedback, and these impressions will help us build an appropriate school list.

During this session, we can answer such questions, as well as offer appropriate suggestions for next steps in the private secondary school admission process. You can then either choose to pursue the full admission service outlined above or select aspects of the process to customize your own program based on your family’s specific needs.

…students and families to be open-minded during the application process, as there are a myriad of private schools across the country that all send students to amazing colleges. Many people enter into this process focused on a handful of specific schools, only to learn that many additional ones have comparable—or even superior—facilities and programs.
We will introduce families to a wide range of options, share important information about each school such as special interest groups, and provide matriculation lists.
