College Advisor
No one knows more about what colleges are looking for in an applicant than someone who has worked in college admissions. Rich directed admissions offices in the New York metropolitan area for 30 years, and served as assistant vice president for enrollment at New York University. After more than a decade at NYU, he decided to take the knowledge he gleaned from working in admissions and use it to help students get into their dream schools. He joined Steinbrecher in 2002, and has been working with domestic and international students seeking admission to US colleges ever since.
In the ever-changing and increasingly complicated college landscape, Rich’s goal is to demystify the application process for students and their families. This helps students target the schools that best meet their individual learning styles, curricular goals, and professional aspirations. He is exceptionally knowledgeable about essay writing and interview technique, and carefully evaluates applications to make sure each student is presenting themselves in a way that will impress admissions officers.
Rich is a graduate of Fordham University where he also earned a graduate degree in counseling and a certification as a secondary school counselor.
