College Placement
We know college admissions can be stressful, but we have decades of experience doing this and the structure and guidance we provide eliminates the headaches often associated with this process. Our goal is to allow students to immerse themselves in the high school experience (without constantly worrying about college) while setting them on the right path for success.
The right college is out there waiting for you.

College Advisory Services
-
Proper strategizing in the early years of high school can save you lots of stress down the line. That’s why we recommend this option, which offers ongoing support throughout freshman and/or sophomore year. Students will receive all of the information included in the single consultation meeting, plus have continued access to advisors, who will be available to answer questions as they arise, as well as meet as necessary to review progress.
-
The college admissions process really starts to ramp up junior year, requiring additional, and often more robust, guidance. This full placement service is distinguished by our continuous and unlimited support of students and parents throughout each step of the college placement process. In addition to the services described above, it includes:
· Reviewing the student’s past academic record and experiences
· Clarifying future educational goals for the student
· Assessing the student’s general selection requirements, prospects, and opportunities
· Creating a list of colleges appropriate to the student’s abilities and goals, and developing strategies for successful college visits
· Formulating a standardized testing plan
· Practicing interview techniques
· Developing a timetable for the application process
· Providing guidance for course selection
· Exploring options for extracurricular and summer activities
· Proofreading, and commenting on, applications
· Guiding students through the essay process, from brainstorming to final edits
· All other assistance, as required, until the student is accepted to college

It happens: You think you’re on the right track, and then senior year rolls around and you realize you need college counseling. While not ideal, in this instance we provide a concentrated program tailored to your needs during senior year. We will help you get on track as quickly and stress- free as possible.
-
During this session, we meet with the student and their parents to review and map out an academic plan for the year (including course selection), and make recommendations about extracurricular activities, summer jobs and camps, early test opportunities, and more.
-
This is a one-hour session offered to juniors and seniors to provide an overview of the application process or to help with one specific aspect. For example, if you’re feeling confident about your application but are stumped about the early decision (ED) process, or if you just need help fine tuning your college list, this may be a good option. Please note that one-hour consultations do not include application review or essay work.
